Gumbeaux Productions was incorporated in November 2005 as AAProductions LLC. A part-time lighting company, AAProductions provided lighting production and equipment rental for local events including the Krewe of Apollo Ball, Loyola Style Show and the Mudbug Madness Festival. Within one year, the company was able to purchase a full line of event production lighting equipment and software and the rest, as they say, is history.      Having managed a production department specializing in event coordination, special event rentals and trade show services for over 10 years, Terri Mathews, president, made the decision to go into full-time production services for herself, and on December 1, 2007, Gumbeaux Productions was born.

Gumbeaux Productions is a full-service event production company specializing in trade show decorating and services, lighting production and equipment rental and sound production, including a full-service deejay system. Other services include event equipment rental such as tables, chairs, linens, and tents, and event management and coordination.

Terri Mathews, president, has over 10 years in event production experience and over 17 years in festival coordination and management. She earned her B.A. and Masters in Liberal Arts from Louisiana State University in Shreveport and is a Certified Marketing Director (CMD) through the International Council of Shopping Centers having served as the marketing director of Pierre Bossier Mall for 11 years. She is chairman of the Mudbug Madness Festival, Vice President for the Bossier Chamber of Commerce, board member for Downtown Shreveport Unlimited and a member of the Shreveport-Bossier Military Affairs Council.

Brad Mathews, Terri’s nephew and vice president of production, has over eight years experience in lighting design and production, sound production and trade show experience. His lighting design and production experience includes Krewe of Apollo Ball Shreveport, Krewe of Apollo Ball Dallas, Krewe of Centaur, Miss Louisiana Pageant and Miss Florida Pageant to name a few.

“Our first priority is our customer,” says Terri. “Organizing a special event may sound fun, but it can be stressful. We want to relieve some of that stress for our customer. When we say ‘we’ll take care of it’, we want our customer to trust that we will be with them every step of the way so they can not only have a successful event, but enjoy themselves in the process.”
